Santo Domingo.- Unos 41,915 casos de coronavirus (COVID-19), de los cuales 1,125 son nuevos y 20,221 activos, se han confirmado, hasta el momento, en República Dominicana, según el boletín número 113 sobre la situación de la pandemia.
El informe, con corte al 9 de julio de 2020, a las 6:00 de la tarde, y dado a conocer por el ministro de Salud Pública, Rafael Sánchez Cárdenas, también puntualizó que, de los casos confirmados, con promedio de edad de 38 años, 4,119 se encuentran en aislamiento hospitalario y 16,102 en aislamiento domiciliario.
Precisó que 20,830 personas se han recuperado de coronavirus, 864 han fallecido (22 defunciones nuevas), la tasa de letalidad se sitúa en 2.06%, y la positividad en las muestras procesadas, durante las últimas cuatro semanas es de 25.05%.
Con respecto a las pruebas PCR, dijo que se han procesado 182,263; 3,425 en este boletín, de las cuales 140,348 han arrojado resultados negativos.
De los 1,135 hospitalizados, 226 pacientes se encuentran en las unidades de cuidados intensivos (UCI); 46.02% en centros del Gran Santo Domingo, 33.63% en Santiago y 13.27% en Duarte.
Un total de 243 trabajadores de la salud han resultado positivos por COVID-19, de los cuales 157 (64.61%) corresponden al sexo femenino.
Entre los fallecimientos, con un promedio de edad de 65 años, rango intercuartílico (53-76 años), se registraron antecedentes de morbilidad de hipertensión arterial (32.99%) y diabetes (24.07%). El 68.06% (588) son hombres.
La tasa de letalidad acumulada en las últimas cuatro semanas es de 1.14%.
Añadió que se han producido un total de 396,812 interacciones entre especialistas y dominicanos residentes, tanto en el país como en el exterior; 19,712 asistencias médicas remotas, de las cuales fueron 375 emergencias atendidas, a través de la plataforma Aurora MSP, al corte de esta mañana.
Aurora MSP es un robot alimentado y actualizado por más de 200 profesionales autorizados por el Ministerio de Salud Pública, disponible mediante Whatsapp, Telegram y Facebook.
La plataforma está a disposición de los ciudadanos y las instituciones para servicios de orientación, consultas y asistencias vía telemedicina sobre COVID-19.
El Ministerio de Salud Pública mantiene las siguientes recomendaciones para frenar la propagación de la COVID-19:
- Distancia física mínima de dos metros entre dos personas.
- Uso de mascarillas en lugares de trabajo y espacios públicos.
- Higienización frecuente de las manos con agua y jabón.
- Permanecer el mayor tiempo posible dentro de los hogares.
- Cuidado y aislamiento en el hogar de las personas que presenten signos y síntomas leves.
- Búsqueda de atención en los centros de salud si presenta fiebre, dolor de cabeza, dolor de garganta, diarrea, pérdida del olfato, malestar general, tos y dificultad respiratoria.
- Mantener la organización del flujo y distribución de personas, respetando la distancia de al menos un metro entre ellas y características de grupos con riesgos de complicaciones.
